You know, you can designate who gets your money from CFC. There are plenty of good charities for you to pick from in their list. Don't you get the brouchure that tells you about all of them? Anyway, donation to CFC charities is (supposedly) voluntary. I never donated either (opting instead to do things like pay my bills), but I perused the list of charities more than once just out of interest.

The article in the o.p. is kind of scary, though. I just sent it home, and will forward it to friends and family (even though many are Dems).

At one point, I thought that Atheists United was on the CFC. Could someone check? I'm not a federal employee, and didn't see a list on the internet (but I didn't try very hard.)

Toto, I didn't see them on the list of agencies for 2002. That is an MS Word document.
