NOT IN OUR NAME TO AIR ANTI-WAR ADS ON LOCAL CABLE SYSTEMS Ads Feature Young People Speaking Out Against War on Iraq MTV Refuses To Air Ads Nationally While Frequently Airing Military Recruitment Ads March 11, 2003, New York, NY � An advertisement produced in conjunction with the anti-war group Not In Our Name will begin airing regionally on MTV and BET as the first in a series of anti-war advertisements to be shown during programs such as 106 and Park, Total Request Live and Direct Effect, some of the network�s most popular shows among 18-34 year olds. I personally have a soft spot for the anti-marijuana ads that say you'll run over a little girl and also get pregnant.

I get channel V where I am and it is basically the same as what little exposure to MTV I have.
A whole lot of self-promotion and presenters making YOU the star. If you happen to subscribe to the musical tastes and the demographics of the channel. It is always of interest late at night when their marketing executives have decided that only people who appreciate their music will be watching. And it always makes good eye-candy. |
