Having my wisdom teeth removed and the subsequent recovery was the worst thing I have gone through. My breast enlargement and kidney donation were both cakewalks compared to that. I swelled up HUGE, got several infections and was not completely pain free for several months. I had huge holes I had to clean out with a syringe and a hole between my sinuses and the space where the top tooth was so when the infection "broke" during accounting class all of it burst into my sinuses and out my nose.

Gah what an awful time.

lamma--I had asked my boyfriend to look into the laser treatment for his unbearable snoring.. so thanks for the warning. We'll stick with the nose strips for now!!
As hard as it might be, don't do it. My dad's had this operation and so has another friend of mine and all three of us still snore as loudly as ever.
Even the first doctor I went to told my wife and I that it had a less than 20% chance of working and didn't recommend it, but my wife was understandably insistent so we found a guy who would do it.

Severe pain, no gain.

For me, just a foreskin and some 'stuff' from my nostrils(mainly the left) to allow me to breath easier- it wasn't really essential, but the navy offered to have it done at no expense to me, so I did it since they straightened my nose at the same time, after my nose had been broken a couple of times.

Oh, and quite a bit of flesh from my knees a couple of times, and eyebrows once- both purely unintentionally, and it all grew back eventually.

I still have all 4 wisdom teeth without any problems.

I'm missing my foreskin and wisdom teeth. The rest of me is still here, although it doesn't always work very well. A friend once told me that you aren't old until you start feeling old. I told him that if he were correct, then I've been old since about 27...

Since then I've had massive nosebleeds and I snore just as bad as ever. During one follow up 6 months after the butchery I told him I was still snoring as badly as ever. He basically told me it was because I was a fatass. I've since dropped over 35 pounds and I still snore. But I do have the added luxury of not being able to blow my nose though. If I do I'll bleed severely. Bastard.
Lamma that's horrible mate, I feel for you I really do.
