I'm flattered. I thank Kenneth Miller also, otherwise I may have been an IDer. I think ID is just as bad but at first I didn't see why.
It is just a matter of degree. It hurts faith just as much by making falsifiable claims about a creator, that will eventually be proven false and rejected making God (or the space alien of the gaps ) smaller and smaller as the gaps get smaller. |

Quite frankly, the Bible only presents the Judaic perspective. History is relative.
@lpetrich: Good point about stopping at three. It's Numerologist's Fallacy: Assuming that we have a set number. For example, since there are seven known periods on the periodic table, and seven is considered divine by early Xian numerologists, they COULD assume that that was divine. Buuuuuuuttt...There could be an eighth and ninth period, with 50 elements each, and a tenth and eleventh with 72 elements each, etc. Besides, which, Lakota add one's environmental, or social, characteristic to the aforementioned list. And we get four, OUR ceremonial number. What Xians fail to appreciate is that man doesn't exist in a vacuum. |
