I've not exclusively dated short women, but I have dated my fair share. I actually dated a girl that was 4'10" once. THAT was interesting. WE didn't have a problem with it, but we got some strange looks from other people. She used to love it when I picked her up to kiss her.

I've got a friend/co-worker now that is 5'0". We aren't dating, but one night we were both a little tipsy (we work in a bar) and I picked her up and did a sort of swing dancing, twirl her around thing. She thought it was great fun, like a roller coaster. Now she calls me "Jungle Jim" and I call her "Monkey" because she can climb all over me. :-) It's cute.

I am not talking a man who is hairy beast, but distinctly masculine is how I view that aspect of the male body. I REALLY like it, along with a pair of masculine, hairy, strong legs ... that treasure trail... Mmmmm .... nice.

Hmm... this is valuable insight. Maybe older women aren't attracted to me because I'm tall, but rather because I have my fair share of body hair.

So, if I wanted to attract younger girls I'd need to depilate myself (I think I just made that word up!)

*Looks around for the new Epiman by Craftsman*

P.S. Just kidding, I don't really want to attract younger women. They lack experience!

Tall men are great. I am 4'11" and can remember at rock concerts and festivals, tall strong men were a plus when they put you up on their shoulders and you could see above the crowd for a change.

I didn't vote because I am married so I don't date anymore. Hubby is 6' tall so he seems very tall to me. I dated a few short men and the ones I dated seemed to have some major ego issues and always seemed to be trying to prove themselves. That was not appealing to me. So yes I like tall husky men because they seem to be more assured of themselves. Oh yes and hairy chests used to be a big turn on, but my hubby is not hairy so go figure.

Hmmm... maybe they had ego problems because people didn't find them appealing. Seems like a Catch-22.

--Well, boys grow up in a pretty rough social environment. Constant competition, your "manhood" is always in question and always has to be proven. One of the ways to do that is to be bigger than others... it gives you power over them. It's only natural that smaller men would have some ego problems due to this social environment. Most of them get over it of course, but it doesn't help that such notions are always reinforced even in adulthood, by both men and women. For example, I doubt you'll hear many women in this thread claiming they're more attracted to short men.

Well, in general I like tall, dark and handsome, but I strive to not be that shallow and appreciate the person for who they are. I AM attracted to tall tho.
Seems like most men like petite women tho, yes? I'm built more like Mae West. If any of you youngsters have single fathers, uncles whatever, lemme know. Ever try being middle aged, female, atheist... sigh. Oh, well.

Mr. Ab is taller than I (5'6" to 6'1"). His best friend from college is my height, and married a woman who is 5'10". We hug each other and go "aaah" because we don't have to do the head-crane or neck-turn. It's nice just to be able to pop my chin on his shoulder...

I am not "tall" being an average 5'10", but I certainly prefer to date someone shorter than I am (ideally, someone who is shorter than I am even in heels ).

Is there a trend among younger women for more "boyish" men? I heard from my sister-in-law that young guys are shaving their chests, etc.
Well, I am twenty-three and I shave mine. I am not a fan of body hair, but I don't know that my preference is part of trend towards "boyishness." I simpled prefer the smooth look and feel to the rough.
