I saw appendicitis once in an emergency room, and yeah, I think I'd rather give birth to a wolverine while simultaneously getting a root canal from a howler monkey. I'm glad you're going to be OK, BTW. |

I'm glad it was something they could take care of, Dark Jedi. I hope you're feeling much better soon.

![]() The description of giving birth to a wolverine is quite on the mark. That's likely the best description I have come across yet. When the nurse asked "On a scale of one to 10, 10 being the worse pain ever, where does this rank?" I replied "237" |

(I have no record of those exact actions, I can only go by what I felt like when I woke up). ![]() |

I had two C-sections. I think they did something similar to me during those. Except at least I ended up with a baby each time as well as being sore in the middle!
Like I said, I wish you a speedy recovery with no complications. Helen |

Gah, and I thought my life sucked this last week. You win. I haven't had an ER visit in a couple months now.
hydrocodone = Vicodin, Lortab or Norco depending on the formulation (Norco has more hydrocodone, less tylenol than Vicodin/Lortab). That's what I used to take. I'm now on [gasp, horror] oxycodone, the EVIL drug that was was in the news last year. When idiots crushed the pills, snorted and/or injected them, then died of overdoses (duh? darwin award candidates). Truthfully, it's really not nearly as head-twisting as Roxicet (morphine derivative) or Duragesic (Fentanyl, possibly the strongest synthetic opoid in existence). I do sympathize with the "On a scale of 1 to 10, how painful is this?" The wittiest I ever got was: "Nine." "And what's ten?" "Three broken ribs and a concussion." "Oh. Uh, lemme find you a place to lie down..." May your stitches heal up quick, with no nasty infections! |

I shouldn't have posted that quip about no recent ER visits. I just dislocated my kneecap today. I'm now in one of those big-ass immobilizers and drugged to the eyeballs. [cartman] Goddamnit![/cartman]

![]() Having had knee problems before, I can sympathize. Having never actually dislocated mine, I cannot imagine. |

This imobilizer sucks, but it sucks even MORE when I don't wear it. ![]() |
