So let me get this straight:
You claim we all have free will. We have the ability to make a decision not to sin. But you claim we are all sinners. Doesn't the fact that not one human being has ever used his or her free will to lead a sin-free life indicate that something is wrong with the whole "sin" system? |

![]() Apparently, everyone does it, and they have no choice about it. Is your God the type that would condemn someone for breathing? Sure sounds like it.... |

Magus,
You stated that I sin daily. Show me the proof. Give me an instance rather than merely giving genaralised descriptions of your daily behaviour. You may think that I'm being rather pedantic here, but I refuse to allow such a broad and offensive accusation to be made without some justification. Am I guilty? Maybe. But I require that you you show me what guilt I bear. When it has been shown to me I will turn myself in to the appropriate authorities. You also ask "How could I know?". Precisely my point. Don't throw your offensive accusations around without *knowing* first. |

The ancient African doctrine, Theban specifically, begins with the Creation stemming from the appearance of light. After Ptah appears he commands Atum to appear (which happens to appear as a serpent. Concerning the tree of knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life, they represent the Egyptian deities Shu and Tefnut. In Egyptian Coffin Text 80 the Helipolitan myth contains this story, which is too similar in nature. Atum's two children, Shu (agent of life) and Tefnut (principle of moral order, or Maat) Coffin Text 80 Line 63 states "It is your daughter Order that you shall eat) Both the Egyptian and Genesis accounts tell the chief deity created two fundamental principles, Life and Moral Order. In the Egyptian version, Atum is told to eat of Maat, while in Genesis Adam (notice the name similarity?) is told to not to eat of moral order. The significance of the serpent is due to Egyptian art. Ra, the sun god, circled the earth daily and fought at night with Aphophis. Again, this picture is prevalent in Egyptian artistic display. The reason behind changing the trees for the Genesis account is because the Egyptian concept that knowledge of Maat leading to eternal life conflicted with Hebrew montheistic teachings. |
