Actually, I do believe in the square root of minus one. I have used it often in my work, thank you very much.

So we can invent gods?

I would imagine that we have "brains" so that we are able to comprehend THIS reality in THESE bodies.
But since the Bible doesn't actually reveal this, I would otherwise have to say only God knows....

Well, doesn't the soul also need to comprehend this reality? Otherwise, you would hardly be the same person without your brain.

Because I’m sophisticated and courageous enough to see religion and theism for what it truly is. Mythology!

Before we were able to explain our world through naturalistic explanation, and before our technology and science was up to par, we foolishly gave the unexplainable a supernatural explanation. We jumped to conclusions before gathering all of the evidence.

I could anybody know that everything started with the big bang?
The only thing we know for sure is that the unverse is expanding.
How does this tell us anything about what came before this expansion?

Why? Because I started that way and haven't been anything since. No reason to change, really. Although if you beat me sufficiently well to wreak havoc on my brain, I might fall for Pascal's Wager.

Scary thought, that.

Life after death? Ummm... how would I know? I haven't exactly been dead. But I doubt it.

As for the expansion of the universe, it's just flipping time's arrow. The universe shrinks until it's a point. Makes sense, really.

Well I could point out all the different philosophies in this world which do not intersect or the silliness of believing in the ramblings of bronze age goat herders. When it comes right down to it, never seen a god or ghost or any other unexplainable phenomenon. The whole idea of paying homage to an unsubstantiated assertion/presumption strikes me as rather silly. Hell, you might as well have asked if it is Thor's hammer Mjollnir that causes thunder or the chariot being pulled by those lightening causing goats.
