Actually, you have a very valid point--a waterfall is enchanting even if it isn't gods jumping to their deaths frustrated at the likes of Hovind. A rose is still beautiful if it isn't red from the blood of dying lovers staining it and its progeny forever. It does take some of the better poetry written out if taken too extremely (you know what I mean by that--I hope), but allows for other poetry to seep in. A mix of mythicism and naturalism would make great poetry....hmmmm...... I think I'll have a go at that. Did I ramble too much? |
