Of course, 150 years fits pretty well with Jackson's stint at VMI (1851-1861). However, judging from the information to be found on Jackson at the VMI Archive, the "tradition" may well have been his only legacy. Apparently he was a less-than-mediocre instructor and was roundly disliked by both faculty and students. Regards, Bill Snedden |

Pat Buchanan is the ultimate Beltway Insider / he likes to present himself as Chet 12-Pack, but the Real Pat is more comfortable with Eliot's Four Quartets. a total sham! he says america needs more englishmens and less west africans. very nice coming from an irish-american, no? he identifies with The Enemy rather than with a fellow tribal people (sheesh).

More idiocy from Pat Buchanan:
A very confused and paranoid rant about how America is being overrun by non-Christian or Mexican immigrants who refuse to learn English and assimilate (!) But how this relates to the Supreme Court taking religion out of the public square is never made clear. [ February 10, 2002: Message edited by: Toto ]
|
