Rather than describe a general type of music, I'll just try a band.
Ram-Zet, baby. This Norwegian band can do no wrong, iny m opinion. *grin* I cannot really describe them accurately, but consider extremely harsh male vocals, driving metal guitar and industrial influenced drums, beautiful clean female vocals, pianos, violins, and pounding bass. If you like original metal, and don't mind songs that average over 7 minutes, give them a looksie. ![]() Aprox 1 meg samples can be found at: http://home.online.no/~k-fry/mp3/esc/ The full version of their song 'Queen' can be found at: http://mp3.centurymedia.com/RamZet_Queen_Escape.mp3 Their web-site is http://www.Ram-Zet.com -Sean np: My Dying Bride, My Hope the Destroyer |

*snort*
I've been part of a challenge among friends to come up with stuff in your record collection that the rest have never heard. Oh boy, have they been getting some suprises. Probably one of the weirder ones I included was Llan de Cubel. Their flute player is a god. I wanna play like him when I grow up. I also included some really mind-twisting things like a 5/4 waltz (ragtime waltz, half-and-half), stuff from local bad-boy accordion player Mark Growden, australian morris musicians The Wheeze and Suck Band, scottish groups like Shooglenifty and Sunfire Magestic, english singer/songwriter Jez Lowe, and for pure weirdness factor, folklore professor and satirical songwriter Holly Tannen, and The Austin Lounge Lizards. And to top it off, I play for not one, but two morris teams, which means I have really warped musical tastes. ![]() |

I like the background music from the Little Rascal shorts. i bought a couple CDs from a group called the Beau Hunks that re-recorded all that music with period instruments and recording techniques.
Thats pretty odd I guess. |
