Science belongs in science classes. ID is not science. Ergo, ID does not belong in science classes.

There is no theory of intelligent design. There are no creationist or ID models. It's time for you to face that, randman.

Are you aware that more than 50% of Americans do not know that the earth moves around the sun and takes a year to do it?

Do you have a cite for this? Seems a little off to me.
I have it , but it's only bookmarked on my work computer. 55% think antibiotics kill viruses. It's a Nat'l Academy of Sciences survey, from 1999. URL in the morning, if someone else doesn't have it handy. 49% think humans and dinosaurs cohabited Earth. The whole survey makes me want to rant incoherently, like this, and then go puke.

edited to add: these numbers damn sure give me confidence in R-man's survey. yeah.

I've got your back, Corygaps

Here is the <a href="http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/srs/seind00/c8/c8s1.htm#c8s1l4a" target="_blank">link Corygaps mentioned.</a> The questions and the responses broken demographically are in <a href="http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/srs/seind00/append/c8/at08-09.xls" target="_blank">this link.</a>

All in all, it paints a pretty gruesome picture.

BTW, the above links come from <a href="http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/srs/seind00/frames.htm" target="_blank">Science and Engineering Indicators 2000.</a>

Georgia too has a resoultion or bill that parrots the sanatorium ammendment. I give it a snowball's chance in hell of going anywhere.
