You'd think this might work once or twice. Nope. EVERY TIME. HA HA. BOYS ARE STUPID.
No fair! Playing mind games with guys. Sheesh, not only do we not know the rules, but we don't even have a board among the lot of us

A good point that I havent thought of in my years of oggling. I've always thought of myself as a non-threatening type. I havent even considered that some women might take me for a deranged, perverted, psycho just by looking at them and smiling...or, by checking out that fine ass passing me by.

I'm playful. I like playful women. What to do?

Add my name to the list of people-watchers. There's no better place than a mall food court ... you get all types! I had a part time job right around the time I found II, where I babysat a bunch of high-speed internet connected computers in a kiosk in a local mall. I got $9/hr to surf the web and watch the hot girls go by! I'd also get to see the groups of boys that were walking around checking out the girls, etc. It was quite humorous at times.

I've got agree that nice-looking people (either sex) are nice to look at. As a man, I'm not attracted to other men, but I admire a man who's in good shape. I much prefer to look at the women though! The one time I got psuedo-busted checking out some woman, I just made some sort of "I thought you were someone else" type comment.

It is so encouraging to know that there are women who can handle the male interest in female sensuality,( damn you women are gorgeous creatures). I can fully appreciate that women are threatened by male leering and any aggression. Some males are dangerous characters and women are wise to be wary. But, we are not all out to do harm and a woman who can handle the real compliment a male gives by checking her out, is even more attractive in my book.

Thank you Jagged.
Man, when I was a kid in the suburbs of Virginia, making eye contact when passing an older boy was a good way of getting yourself molested, verbally or physically (which was winked at then, boys being boys and all). I learned to put on a blank face, which was interpreted, to my delight, as a mean stare, and look at their ear. If you looked away, they'd get you and if you made eye contact, they'd get you.

Even now, passing small groups of adolescent boys gives me the willies.

I totally agree with Godless Dave: sunglasses - stare all you want a bit to the side, without being threatening or rude. It is fun to look at attractive people.

Try making an attempt to look at the clock in english class while not looking like a perv because argueably the most attractive girl in the class sits directly under it...

You bring up a point about female facial expression which explains a lot. Ever since I reached the age when my male brain started the eternal command for me to look and stare at all females, I have always noticed the "blank face" or even "the look",( the look says,"Get lost, A-hole"). Sensitive me, usually interpreted this as being directed soley at me.

Now, I realize that I was wrong to take those negative female facial expressions as being personally directed at me. They are directed at all us ogling apes with that one thing on our minds. It all makes sense, given the way males are and the dangers that females have to avoid.

In the future when I get "the look", I can go on my way, realizing that I am not a bad guy, but just one of the guys.

Haha, almost an opposite dilemma for me. I sat under the clock in the back of my organic lecture last semester. When someone would look back to see the clock, my eyes would instantly turn to them (with a class full of back of heads, a face stands out and draws my attention). So I bet many people were freaked out when they turned around and saw me staring at them.

Also in that class, a pretty girl across the room and I would exchange looks frequently. She would smile and I would smile back, which was quite a feat with my girlfriend sitting next to me. Only looking! It just made my day to be smiled at.
