Best Batsman ever: Don Bradman
Best Batsman now: Sachin Tendulkar Best Bowler ever: Diffcult choice, but I'd go with Clarrie Grimmett. Best Bowler now: Muttiah Muralitharan. Cheers, BB2 |

Well if you want to go strictly by current stats, rather than personal preference then:

I think when judging for the "best" you have to look for more than stats. Its how they perform at crunch time..etc. I go for S. Warne and Tendulkar. Oh, I hate test cricket for some reason, I cant stand it, its too damn boring, ODI's only heh. But ya, obviously, Don Bradman with his 99.94 avg.....

Here we go:
All Time Batsman - The Don (amazing how we all agree... well, not, actually) Bowler - Malcolm Marshall (just the name struck fear into a generation of batsmen) Now Batsman - Sachin Tendulkar (he's good, so very good) Bowler - Shane Warne (wouldn't he be your first bowling choice for a team to represent Earth?) And, for extra credit, the best batsman/bowler (allrounder) Ever: Ian Botham (I'm English and admit my bias and will concede that Kapil Dev and Imran Kahn have great cases for this, too) Now: Jaques Kallis (I's want him for any one-day side, and most test sides (depending on the pitch)). |
