No, no, no. You don't get off that easily. You defined Good as being whatever God tells you to do.

By not doing what He's telling you to, then, you're not just a sinner: you're evil.

Now to bring this home.

Why does it surprise you that atheists often value human life more than theists, when you just admitted that your god would want you to kill humans, and that even you would have trouble doing it?

Meanwhile, nearly all atheists, who think your god to be about as real as the Silver Surfer, would never commit any of the attrocities that your alleged god prescribes in the Bible.

From reading the Bible, it becomes clear that God intends you to value human life less, not more. I mean, heck, according to the Bible, he wiped out the entire population of the Earth except for eight people!. No atheist could hope to come close to that kind of callous disregard for life.

Heh. I already explained how he determines if it's God or delirium tremors.

This thread was begun to express shock and horror at the deaths of these two children.

You chose to make it an opportunity to take cheap shots at our supposed lack of moral standards, to express "surprise" that we cared more for the lives of these children than we would for an ant. Since we worship no gods, we must assuredly be amoral monsters.

A fine and shining example of Christian charity, wouldn't you say?

I suppose you feel this sort of behavior is morally justified, but I, godless heathen that I am, find it both mean-spirited and in poor taste.

You guys are getting way off the original topic which was about a mother that baked her kids in a hot car. Is this about me, and my own morals, or are we still trying to have an intelligent discussion about what was morally wrong with this woman's actions? If you want to quiz me about my personal morality, send me an email. If not, then let's get back to what specifically pisses you off about the woman that killed her kids.

No, no, no, you don't get to play that game, either. That's the wonder of the browser back button: you get to look at the first page, on which you wrote in your very first post:

So either you went off topic in your very first post, or we're still on topic. Which one is it?

P.S. Don't forget that your alleged God killed everyone in Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 19:24,25) That's quite the bodycount that God's racking up. Heck, it'd take Rambo at least five more movies to catch up.

Jeff

(edited because there's an "r" in "forget", but I fogot. )

Then, of course, there were the 500,000 men of Israel ... (2 Chronicles 13:16-20)
