If deafness is a culture, shouldn't people have the right to leave that culture? If a culture or tradition isn't popular enough to have followers, the culture or tradition will disappear from society. Simple as that.

DoubtingDidymus, because 90% of deaf children come from hearing parents.

Gillamore, your not a troll your just being foolish.
Are you really deaf? Well I'll assume you are, as others have said already you can remain deaf, nobody wants to rob you of your "culture". But most deaf poeple would kind off like to hear again if given the choice. Most parents would prefer a hearing child than a deaf child if given the choice. ...... Nope you have to be a Troll. nobody can be that ridiculous Age |

But what in Gallimore's profile gives you any indication whatsoever about his/her hearing ability? For somebody adopting "Age of Reason" for a handle, your logic is strikingly like that of theists who assert, based solely on their opinion, that atheists can't have morals, can't be happy, and really can't even not believe in god. |

Let's please return to the original topic of embryonic stem cell research.
Gallimore (or others), feel free to open a new thread specifically relating to the morality of research on medical topics that might have a positive/adverse impact on cultures that may exist within people who have various medical conditions. thank you, Michael MF&P Moderator, First Class |

To be fair though I was running on "Stella Reason" ie: one too many cans of Stella Artios not conducive to reasoned debate, he saw my cage and rattled it. Maybe I should change my name to "Pissed again" Back to the topic.... Age |
