The New American Century project is basically dedicated to American leadership of the world, i.e. world domination. Obviously they have partially executed this goal previously by means of Echelon; by their controlling of other nations either through military force or by infecting other nations with the their corporations; by assassinations of undesirable world leaders and influential minds; control of not only their media, but global media in general; among many, many other things. As a result of this (inter alia), they have sufficient control and power to overtly acknowledge their detestable plans of world domination without any resulting fear, owing in part to the timing of their declaration of said plans and the ridiculously understated form in which it has been presented.
