[...]if you already consider the Shroud to be nearly 100% authentic, what is your purpose in 'participating' by re-posting evidence that you already consider irrefutable?
Several reasons:

1) there are always new readers of these pages who
aren't going to be bothered with looking at archived threads.

2)I did intend to give the Wilson book ("The Blood
and the Shroud") as a reference in the prior thread but that thread was closed a TAD sooner than I expected.

3)some of the URLs I gave here I did NOT give in
the prior thread.

4) there are a number of(QUITE a few) people whom
I respect intellectually (both at ARN and here) who aren't convinced of authenticity so I continue
to delude myself that I can convince them.

5)I welcome the opportunity to talk about the Shroud in ANY context, though I could do without
some of the name calling in the previous thread.

6)Koy did evince having done some research this time so I thought I would oblige him.

7)"Irrefutable" evidence is in the eye of the beholder: there are many at the evo forum who believe that evolution is irrefutably proven. Does
that cancel out their motivation to "spread the word"? Au contaire!

Cheers!

Ah, but these people are actually qualified to present and to analyze evidence concerning evolution. In other words, many of them are actually authorities on the subject.

Are you proclaiming yourself an authority on the Shroud?

You've posted quite a few times on ARN how you would be reluctant to come back to this oh-so-dreaded place.
That's funny, on the "ARN down for count" thread in the
Rants, raves etc. forum, you yourself, claim that
you wouldn't want to go back to ARN, "that horrid
place" as you called it. What happened? You were
back under multiple identities! How long did it take, a week? Or were you back as "Principia" even
before that? On this point we are both inconsistent.
Cheers!

Ah, but at ARN, I was baited both by you and by Douglas.

Nobody here put out a post that asked you to return. So, once again. Why are you here and now?

Try reading the OP: it is
Koy's "deconstruction" of me. I'm unaware of any
such equivalent thread at ARN before you
started posting there again. Indeed, given your
MO, you will never stop posting at ARN for any reason and will be posting there long after I have
quit for good.....This may be your "home base" but
you haunt ARN........to no good end......

And it begs the question: Why would you post something for Koy to deconstruct?

1)more tests should be done.

2)one should keep an open mind about authenticity.
