Watched the show a few times when it first started. It was like a bunch of Archie Bunkers sitting around bitching with nary one true intellectual thought between them all. Terrible show.

I regularly catch "The Daily Show" just before it, but the instant Colin Quinn splutters on to the screen, the TV goes off.
I'm with ya. The man's delivery is just intolerable. Not to mention the material. The guests might make it interesting occasionally, but I don't think it's worth wading through Quinn's abyssmal horrificness.

You're right - he totally botchedi t. I wish he would have just shut up and let Jon talk. I too only watch when I like one of the guests (Jon had advertised his presence during The Daily Show which preceeded Tough Crowd and that drew me in).

I was actually at the taping of The Daily Show that night and he announced that he was going to be doing Colin's show later that night while he was talking to the crowd. I'm pretty sure I saw him roll his eyes after saying it.

Lewis Black also went on and on about how he just got passed up for a part in a sitcom that was written specifically for him. That's pretty bad when they write the part for you and then decide you're not good enough for the part.

If any of you are ever in New York go and watch The Daily Show in person. Its kinda cool.

Tough Crowd is awful. You get 5 people in a room whos only motivation is to say something contreversial regardless of its validity. I don't think it will be around much longer.

I would love to see a semi-serious discussion of current events after The Daily Show a'la Politically Incorrect.

I'm somewhat a fan of Collin Quinn, and was looking forward to his show, but I must agree it royally sucks. There is never any intelligent conversation. The guests are almost exclusively "B" comedians trying their best to be noticed. You have to assume that everything they say is calculated and not necessarily honest. Also on the rare occasion that a real conversation gets started they cut to a commercial break, or its time to "move on to the next topic", resulting in absolutely no resolution to any conversation. Its both frustrating and moronic. Plus the comedy is very lame.
