This thread has the highest "EEWWW!" factor I've read in a long time. Still, pretty interesting.

I just take delight in the irony inherent in some of it. No matter how much we pride ourselves on our technological advancements and strive to make things better and man-made, we can still find things in nature which will do the job a hundred times better.
