Even without free will we are still free, unless we are coerced or restrained otherwise. In todays world with no slavery and civil liberties we are the freer now than ever before.

Even without free will we still have alternatives. We have different options open to us.

What we can not do is cease being part of the physical universe and somehow with this imagined free will property, act causally separate from the rest of the cosmos.
