He's too busy adding to his database for irrational atheist types.

I find that interesting, but my perspective is different.

In a recent discussion on the possible existence of God, I was told that no empirical evidence could be produced to demonstrate God's existence because God was:

Non physical
Non biological
Not bound by Nature
Unobservable
Beyond our ability to sense.

Interestingly, it seems to some that the utter impossibility of demonstrating either God's existence or necessity is some kind of strength when arguing its existence. The more exotic, the more believable.

*sigh*

I've been comtemplating it since I first saw this thread. My current (and provisional, of course) opinion is that it is more appropriate in this forum than any other, and violates no forum rules. I'd like to think that the denizens of this formum are a bit more discriminating in their choice of debate material, and this thread will die a natural death (hint, hint ).

Ya know, I don't mind so much when people decide to abandon a thread they've been the active opposition in after awhile. It would be nice to see either a concession or at the very least a final post detailing some irreconcilable differences, but I don't get my hopes up anymore. What does piss me off is when people abandon their threads to start new ones right away, and not only that, but continue to make errors and hold misconceptions that have been pointed out explicitly numerous times in threads such as these. This goes for that other D.M. thread (the love/atheism one) as well. Not that there's a new thread yet, but i guess we'll see.

oh well

I would say no. My premises being that the only means by which one's lack of belief in a particular phenomenon can be considered irrational is to show that the phenomenon has been demonstrated to that person. Additionally, atheism is a natural state of mind from birth; theism being irrationally developed later in life.
