Why does it have to be about you? It seems obvious to me that he's rolling his eyes at the Washington Post.

What is it with you guys obsessing over what each other meant? If Toto wasn't responding to me he can make that clear. Fine. I'd be happy if he was showing some restraint for a change.

Layman: "You're so vain you probably think this post is about you" ?

Since I did not quote from your post or address you, why would you assume that I was rolling my eyes at you, as opposed to the Post? I thought I was being clear, Bookman understood.

What is it with you? Why is correcting your obvious misunderstanding obsessive?

I know I asked if you weren't being obsessive when you spent close to 10 pages in BC&A arguing about an unproven census that made little difference to anyone. I guess it's taken you all this time to find an opportunity to throw that word back.

Obsessing! Snarf!

Is this your way of saying "Oh, I see. My bad."?

I'm just putting the two together to make the comparison easier.
old:
Quote:
I will get things done for America -to make our people safer, smarter and healthier.
I will bring Americans together to strengthen our communities.

Faced with apathy, I will take action. Faced with conflict, I will seek common ground. Faced with adversity, I will persevere.

I will carry this commitment with me this year and beyond.

I am an AmeriCorps Member. And I'm going to get things done.
new:
Quote:
Proposed AmeriCorps Pledge:
I, __, do solemnly swear (or affirm)
that I will get things done for America – to make our people, safer, smarter and healthier;
that I will well and faithfully serve my community and country;
that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States;
this year as a member of AmeriCorps, and beyond;
and that I make these commitments freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion.
So help me God.
The change seems meddlesome and clumbsy.
