Dear OOlon, oh , i see what you mean... But, until Everything Ends, or until the organism in question becomes extinct == ultimate non-fitness, "we" don't have grounds to evaluate "beneficial" or "deleterious". I see that I'm not clarifying very well. Guess I just have a dislike to label in-human-value terms; perhaps if we could stick w/ "survival" vs "extinction", I'd feel more comfortable... Sorry: this's surely term-inal nitpicking. Cheers. Abe
