Well, I got a digital camera for my birthday last night (yay! I've wanted one forEVER) and have downloaded pix from last night into my computer here at work. My husband took a shot of me so I could put a more recent pic in the Infidels Photo thread, but the one I want to post (link to actually) is too many bytes.
How do I make it smaller? Can anyone help? |

You need an image editor babe...PhotoShop, PaintShopPro, etc
Why not upload it to a free pictures site like yahoo! photos? |

If you have Microsoft paint, under the "image" option, there is another option called "stretch/skew" which allows you to resize the image based on percentages of its current size.

In MS Photo Editor, you should be able to go to Image, then Resize, then you can change the % down to shrink it. (If it's the same version I have anyway.)

If the format is .bmp or .gif , reencode it as .jpg
There are several encoders that are freeware or shareware on www.download.com |

oh yeah, you should also have an option on the camera as to what resolution you want the pictures to be.
