I think this is a compromise position, because the staff has a strong majority of conservatives...

That said, Blackhawk is an honest man. I don't agree with him on everything theologically, but he's honest and fair, and I've seen him smack Christians down for harassing atheists before.

It's interesting to note that both of them are Baptists. The Baptist churches have some of the most extreme fundamentalists, but they also have some of the strongest tradition of personal freedom in belief.

I dearly miss the search function too. Trust me, my style is severely cramped without it. As for the Bugs forum, you could start another thread, but since there are already a good half dozen open on the subject, there wouldn't be much of a point beyond venting.

I know it sucks, Birdsmgp, but you aren't being singled out here. The admins have to do something to fix the server is busy errors and until they figure it out, we all pretty much have to take the hit.

Franklin mystifies me. He's a full preterist - the people who believe that Jesus *did* return, in AD70, and that people who are still waiting are missing the entire point. Full preterism is rejected as heresy by nearly every major church, and amusingly, Franklin then used to go around screaming at people that they were NOT CHRISTIAN AT ALL if they, for instance, thought maybe there'd been some evolution somewhere.

Anyway, I don't know what's up with him, but I hope he's feeling okay.

Don't you just love the supposed concern about 'leading our youth astray'? Everytime I've started a thread concerning sexual development and/or behaviors in addition to countering such claims that masturbation, lust, etc. etc. cause 'demonic possession' with actual psychology/physiology/anatomy views;

I find my input suddenly deleted/edited with the answer that 'we have younger members for which this material isn't suitable.'

Protecting our youth... gimme a break. Some need to wake up and realize the teenage pregnancy rates within the age groups of our 'younger members', and that most are experiencing puberty and struggling with such matters.

It seems the only way you can discuss topics dealing with sexual development - masturbation, sexual orientation, pre-marital sex, etc - is to scream IT IS A SIN... and go from there.

The youngest member I've noticed so far (correct me if I'm wrong) is 13. As a Father to a 14 year old daughter I can assure you she's totally familiar with all the facts concerining sex and sexual development. I'd consider it ludicrous to tell her what she is curious about, dealing/struggling with is a sin.

Sexual development is not a sin. Neither is Anatomy/Physiology. Several of our posts a while back were edited simply for the word 'vagina'. Okay, If we can't use the anatomically correct term for the female sex organ, I'd like to know what the 'Christian acceptable' one is.

This behavior only indicates that True Christians (trademark) SHOULD NEVER take that sinful class in college: Anatomy and Physiology... Heaven forbid that sinful chapter on the human reproductive system. They should also skip class in Psychology 101 when sexual development is discussed. They'll be disappointed to find that masturbation, the sex drive, sexual attraction, wet dreams, and sexual orientation are normal human developments of the individuals personality.

Where is the accountability for the nonsense posted (without proof) of the many things I've read responsible for 'demonic possession'.
