I'm not the keenest in biology...are you referring to a sort of binary fission?

There was an episode of "Family Guy" where they had a Christmas play in the town square, the manger scene... young pregnant woman "ready to drop" saying "I'm the virgin Mary", then turning to the audience and saying "That's my story and I'm stickin to it"

That was Mary's story and some people still stick to it.

no, not binary fission, just the usual host of chromosomal abnormalities. People who look male may not be really male (e.g. XO) while females might have a Y chromosome that's not expressed.

Default "Chromosomally-abnormal" Mother Mary?

Altho any RC sect's Bishop you're likely to ask almost-certainly will be too IGNORANT of Biology/human genetics to tell you the answer (Seminarians aren't taught that stuff!), --- if you could get an authoritative (sic) response from someone like Joe Cardinal Ratzinger , head of the CDF, who is the "official" ref of RC dogma, you'd probably be advised that un-unh, no fakery, Their Lord's Mother HAD to have been a "normal" biological/chromosomal XX human female, and no fantcy evasions are allowed. "WE are the TRUTH; take it or leave it."

You (like all other swigging Catholics) are obliged to swallow the miraculous bullshit WHOLE and that's that. You might try writing to Cardinal Ratz @ the Vatican and see what answer you get, if any. I've done that several times and no result.

I do keep suggesting that if inquirers here at EyeEye want to consider the matter of "the alleged Virgin Birth", you might spend the less-than-5-minutes checking-out my paper about that. But if you'ld rather squabble-on , than consider the facts, that is of course your privilege. Can find web site for that onepage paper by backing-up here at this thread to my post of last week or so, informing LPETRICH. Or in fact, here's the link:

You people are so uninformed! I'm going to settle this question once and for all... I impregnated Mary. That skanky bitch was one hell of a fuck, too. But I never meant to knock her up. The damn sheep gut condom broke. And Joseph? What a moron! He had no clue what Mary and I were doing behind his back.

So many of you are way off---------

It was God that impregnated Mary. Or hadn't you heard?

Actually it was the Angel Gabriel. Luke 1:28 describes him as coming in unto her (Mary), and this same expression is used in Genesis 38:18 to refer to sex. Plus there are similar phrases elsewhere in the Bible also used to imply sex.

Just kidding.
