That many people realized that Bush was going to lead us into a quasi-Christian theocracy? I read a little while ago that public schools must now show that they are "prayer friendly". In less than 4 years, this country has gone crazy. I used to be an unobtrusive little agnostic, why holy wafers wouldn't melt in my mouth! If the scythe was coming by, my head would not be sticking up. When the towers went down, I became a born-again atheist. I'm somewhat energized by it, but angry as can be. We must vote this family out now, before 2008, when his brother "Bloody Jeb" (ack) will probably assume the throne.

I'm a little surprised that anyone DIDN'T know how far the fundies' hands were up our revered Fearless Leader's ass. I cried on Election Night, watching the results flip-flop and finally settle on Bush as the winner. I knew things would go straight down the crapper and sure enough, they have, worse than I had expected at the time.
On topic-my local weekly with a big spread on Dean. I'm considering volunteering for Dean's campaign. I've already been talking about him with people that I know who share my political views, or who are just sick of the direction this country has taken in the past 2 years. What's sick is that we've been seeing the Bushites on their good behavior, what do they have in store for us when they don't have to worry about getting re-elected? ![]() |

One way to sort of "test the waters" on whether or not you want to get involved in the Dean campaign is to sign up at http://dean2004.meetup.com/
