Could be. The sayings, acts myths etc surrounding many preachers, real and imaginary, could have all been ascribed to Jesus. I accept correction.
The first century of the Christian era was a time when rumours, distortions and myths were rife and the truth hard to establish. Christianity is based on that. Now we try to convince those Fundies and others that they may be wrong. |

"A chosen prophet from God, but not the Messiah. The virgin birth and resurrection are possible, if that is what God wanted to do."
Sort of like the guy who originally posted the poll said it's kind of pointless in a Christian forum, I'd be willing to bet it's just as pointless in an infidel forum. |

Well, Veil of Fire, can you prove that any type of God or gods or goddesses exist? Can you prove that any religion, Christian or any other is true? Yes, I know it depends on faith. Now faith is just what we Internet Infidels refuse to have. Well really I have to admit the virgin birth and resurrection are possible. If I try to deny that I'm being inconsistent with my agnostic position. Is it likely though? [ April 30, 2002: Message edited by: B.Shack ]
|
