Default What are my initials?

Even I'm not sure sometimes. However, it doesn't stop me from playing games with my user name. I cleverly (maybe not that cleverly) created a word puzzle that will reveal the initials of my first, middle, and last names.

It may be easy to guess, but the user name is the clue. Guessing won't count - you must correctly determine why. Grand prize is recognition of your superior analytical prowess.

Obtuse? You bet. Confused? Me too, but you won't be after the next episode of ...

I'm a long time lurker, first time registered infidel. I know many of you by your forum posts and have watched a number of the great unwashed christian masses come and go.

A little personal history - I became a non-believer while in high school. I was in catholic school from K-4th grade and then went to catechism until my senior year in high school. By the time I was an early teen, I was questioniong and challenging my teachers (mostly seminary students - newbee priests). They were having difficulty answering back.

On my 16th birthday, I decided to no longer attend church. My family and I discussed it and I agreed to wait until I was 17 to stop. Oddly, I was the only one to remember the agreement on my 17th birthday. One knife fight and a broken rib later, I stayed home. Talk about the strength of your convictions!

Of course that was a very long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

I'm 30 years older now and have strengthened my convictions over time. I won't be offering any scholarly wisdom, but I look forward to contributing to the boards on an occasional basis and attempt to share my peculiar sense of being.

Is it OLG?

Mag ("Elle" (the name of a magazine) = L) in OG.

Smile Welcome to IIDB!

I first read the post this morning but even now, >12 hours later, I have no clue.

Here's another clue for you all .... no walruses necessary.

If you read the user name, it tells you how to find my initials.

My initials are contained within the word 'maginog', so no 'l'.

Thumbs up

Woo Hoo - We have a Winner!

Yes, it is 'Magi, no G' resulting in MAI.

There was a valuable prize, but it appears that the Iraqi looters have broken into the museum where it was stored. No, wait - they DID leave behind the autographed Saddam 'budoir' portrait.

I'll get that sent right out to you.

And I got stuck on mag-in-og, thinking 'a mag is in an og'?
