Okay, I was jonesin for buttered popcorn and Mighty Malts, the theatre was right there and the next movie starting was Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. I hadn't seen the first film (wise choice) so had no idea just how bad a movie combining Diaz, Liu and Barrymore could be, but I realize that's no excuse. I left halfway through. It was one ridiculous sight gag on top of another, with occasional smirk level humor, and I had to feel sorry for Bernie Mac, whose role was the equivalent of the Love Boat bartender, Isaac.
Was there a form of fetishism this film didn't cater too? Can even a hormonal fourteen year old find this film entertaining? Will Lucy Liu ever quit being cast as a dominatrix? Would the three cheapest hookers in Bangkok have cast aside their dignity and taken the lead roles in this stinker? I know it's my fault and I should've known better, but Yeesh! |

I don't know if I'm laughing harder at your review, or the idea of you walking out halfway through. Priceless. Thanks for the tip though. I hadn't planned on seeing it, now it is assured. However, if it is that bad it might be worth it. Is it Godzilla and Independence Day bad, or does it simply suck?

Throw the following in a blender:
"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Turbo" action "Laugh-In" editing "Barbie" commercials dialogue Berlin burlesque theatre costuming Garnish with acting that makes "Harry Knuckles and the Pearl Necklace" look like Olivier's "Hamlet" by comparison. I'd say it's almost bad enough to be worth the experience, though definitely get the matinee ticket price. |

Ok..... bear in mind that I didn't see the first one either..... but....
1) Drew Barrymore's cute. And 2) How is that any different from the series? ![]() |

Without Bernie Mac or the John Cleese scenes, that film would have been pretty unwatchable. Ugh. I didn't think it was possible that these 3 actresses could be more ditsy and airheaded as the last time.
The first movie was a great girl-power movie with poorly edited action scenes. If, for the sequel, they took the first movie and edited the action scenes like they did the 2nd movie, it would have been a hundred times better. Quote:

i saw the first one, and i plan on watching the second one. it's light comedic/action. what's wrong with that? were you expecting something life altering?
fluff. exactly. note: if i was a hot ass chick that fought crime. i'd be so there. |

Eh, I shouldn't be spoiling the film for you before you watch it. I'll stop. |

I loved the first one. It's "perfect" fluff. And you say number 2 is even fluffier?
Cool. I'm all about escapist movies. |
