Hey, guys.
I'm in a debate with a reasonably polite fundy who insists that Jesus never said he'd be coming back in the disciples lifetimes.
I had always thought that he had, but can't find the verse.

Mark 8:38-9:1 (Of course, there were not chapter & verse divisions until the middle ages. Don't let your friend tell you that the context somehow changed.)

Matt 24:30-34

There are a couple others, but I don't have concordance handy.

That "son of man" scripture still stands today and means that we must profess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord if we believe it in our heart (Romans 10:10). This would mean that each one of us must become "son of man" for this to be true. This profession is the timely uttering (from "Intimations of Immortality") made from the heart and therefore by son of man.
