I would like to see it legalized and regulated. I have no political or moral problems with people smoking pot. However I have never smoked it, I never will smoke it. Stoned people just strike me as the most annoying kind of stupid. I'm sure I would feel a little different if I got stoned, but I don't want to (see previous sentence).

That said, light 'em if you got 'em!

Ahhh, well that is interesting. Yet another bit of trivia to shove something important out of my skull with.

Gee, my first post & I'm admitting I smoke pot. I'm a responsible, middle aged, tax-paying, gainfully employed program administrator & college professor.... not your 'typical' stoner. Not stupid by any means, I just would rather smoke up than drink.

I'm all for legalization, too. (go figger...)

Loren Pechtel : Well, once I unknowingly ate such a cookie. I certainly wasn't aware of any reaction, but I wasn't looking for one, either--it was only months later I found out they were anything other than normal cookies.
Heck...I only had one quarter of that cookie, actually. And I have a very strong nervous system too ( being in an enclosed car full of pot smoke did nothing to me, medications rarely work for me, and I don't often get sick ). That thing was powerful.

Oh, I forgot to add...I laughed at everything, and was very chatty. As some of you know, it makes different people act different ways.

One thing that bothered me was the sensation of my mouth being extremely dry, feeling completely devoid of saliva ( before I ate 20 minutes later ). I couldn't tell if it really was, or if it was my heightened sense of taste. Is that common?

That's a very enlightened attitude.

I don't do drugs! I don't like them! I smoke a lot of weed though.

I have, but it's been months since I have had any. I dont go out of my way to find it like I did while a student in college and now that I must be more responsible, :banghead: along with the fact few of my peers actively concern themselves with maintaining their own supply, I find my life goes on quite fine.

As for smoking pot, it was the only thing that allowed me to sleep in Vietnam. The beer was low alcohol, so you couldnt drink enough to get really drunk and pass out.

The biggest problems with it now are:
1 it's illegal.
2 It's hard on your lungs.

Other than that it should be legalized, and regulated like alcohol. Think of the tax money that could be raised, and the police manpower that could be put on real criminal activity. Then the DEA could move from busting pot growers to going after the real problem drugs, meth, heroin and the like.

Never have, never will. To me the stuff smells like a mixture of ass and very stong body odor.

Yeah, that's very common.

I'm in the "not any more" category. I used to smoke it too much, and all that did was build up my resistance to the stuff. Great way to burn through money...
