You mean cold fornication. Asking about warm fornication makes no sense. <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> |

No, in the absense of air-conditioning, it'd be warm fornication.

ISCID is a BB for Dembski sycophants. Just recently, a thread was closed down because a participant asked if a statement Dembski made wasn't simply an "argument from ignorance?" As, indeed, the entire ID philosophy is.
ID has proposed no testable hypothesis. The promoters have not even managed to reach Step #1 for establishing a scientific theory. Yet they push for it (aka "alternate theories") to be taught in public schools in Georgia, Nebraska, Ohio, New Mexico, Kansas, Wisconsin, and other states. AAAAAAAAAAUUUGH! Excuse me. I had to expel some energy there. Folks, this is a political/religious movement allied with the Radical Religious Right. It is not going away. The answer is political. Pay attention to who is running for your local school board and state Board of Education, as well as Senate and House of Representatives. They (RRR) are determined to dictate the educational and political agenda of this country. It's up to us (rational people) to keep informed and vote them OUT. Dembski, Behe, et al. are only the tip of the iceberg. They have one of *them* in the White House, and in the Attorney General's office. Don't let it spread. Vote. |

Well, that's not completely true. There are parts of the Old Testament that conform pretty closely to history. Just last night, I saw a cable TV show on Discovery (?) that explained in naturalistic terms how parts of the story of the Exodus could have been true, based on geology, etc. Genesis, of course, is not history, since no one was there to witness the creation of the universe, and there is absolutely no physical evidence to indicate it is true. As to the New Testament, the Jesus Seminar has done quite a lot of scholarly work trying to determine the truth about Jesus. Was he a real person? If so, what did he really say, versus what others made up that he supposedly said? I recommend "Honest to Jesus" for anyone who's curious about "The Jesus Seminar's" work. |
