I certainly think that qualifies.

The only problem with me is that I forget that I had started certain posts, and never end up responding to them.

Arrow

I never use the preview option and I rarely edit because I usually catch typos while I'm writing the post.

Occasionally I start to reply and then decide against it.

I think the blue arrow means something along the lines of "hey look at this post!"

My problem isn't my posting habits, it's my habitual posting.

- Do you find yourself proofing your posts after you've submitted them, then finding errors and going back to edit them?

Often, but I proofread them before posting as well.

- Do you ever get fired up from reading a post, write up a lengthy response, and by the time you're done, you don't care anymore and thus never wind up submitting it?

Been there, done that. Usually it's on a thread I haven't entered yet and, after typing up a post, I decide it's not a thread I want to get involved in.

- Do you head to sites like dictionary.com often to make sure that the word you're using actually means what you think it does?

Yes, and to check spelling as well.

- Does anyone know what the little blue arrow emoticon above is supposed to be used for?

To indicate "read here" to those slow on the uptake?

Sometimes. I try to proofread before I send something out, but from time to time something escapes me.

The down-pointing arrow is used to signify that a thread has had new posts within (I believe) the last day.

I believe the reference was to the right-pointing blue arrow available as a message icon on the "post reply" page (see the arrow in my message).

Oops - didn't see your next post before posting...
