No afterlife at all. When we die, that's it.

is that the purpose of YOUR life , to focus only on pleasures ??

what about animals , what is their purpose of living this life??

to have pleasures , i.e. to eat , drink , reproduce
is that what life is all about , is that why we live this life , to have pleasures (food , sex, fun ) and that is it ?

I don't believe in anything supernatural, so I don't believe in an afterlife. Of course when you die (assuming you don't die from head trauma or something) your brain keeps working for a little while with the small amount of oxygen from the blood it has, probably in a subconcious state just like in your dreams since you no longer have the energy to sustain a concious state. What happens in that short time I dunno, maybe you get to have whatever you want then . Maybe I'll have myself frozen so I can be brought back to life in the future or something and they can reverse my aging and make me be like in my 20s forever.

Yes, maximize pleasure, minimise pain, nothing wrong with a bit of hedonism in your life, as long as it does not intrude on other people's hedonism.

Animals, ditto.

It is no point making unreasonable sacrifices for a trumped up reward in the afterlife.
