I read that there was an excerpt from A Feast for Crows (Book 4 of A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin, but then anyone reading this probably knows that) in the Feb issue of Dragon magazine, but I forgot about it until recently and I assume the issue is off the shelves. Did anyone get it? Is it good?? Do I need to hunt it down?
(As an aside, I always have to look up the title, because I always want to call it A Feast of Crows. All the other books are A Something OF Something. Throws me all off.) |

I got a copy of it from a book buyer colleague tonight; I'll read it tomorrow and give an update.
The book now has an August street date; those dates are generally fairly reliable. Bookman |

I can barely wait as this is one of the best series I've ever read.

A friend of mine read it and said it was great, but the impression he gave me was that it was a separate short story that takes place between Books 3 and 4. I could, of course, be wrong. In any case, I went looking for this month's issue of Dragon, but it was sold out everywhere.

Yep, I've got it and its good. What else do you expect from Martin?
It is just a Novella and not an excerpt from the next book. |

His website says it is part of the prologue, that's where I got the excerpt thing from.
