Now look what you've started.

An emoticon arms race!

I wasn't aware that this ignorant savage had ever allowed anybody to have the last word on anything.

Evangelion
What the hell are you smoking?

admice is very definitely not a troll and this is a very serious and important issue.

Really, my jaw hit the floor when I read your initial response.
I have no idea what rock you've been living under that you would think admice or that OP is the work of a troll. And even if you're incapable of comprehending an issue you still might try showing a little more respect for people before rushing to yell insults.

No really I'm appalled.

Admice has been following this issue for quite a few months now and has shown his/herself to be very motivated towards actual activism.

He/she shows constructive ways you can actually get involved in probably one of the most important issues for our supposed democracy and he/she......

Get's called a troll and the conversation quickly devolves to some witty one liners not remotely related to the original topic.

Edited to add: Well OK it was really only Evangelion. Don't mean to implicate the anyone else.

Spam (snort)

Thumbs down

To repeat:

I never claimed that it was a trivial issue - I simply object to the hit-and-run style of the OP.

No one?? How about the audience. Did some one remove the off button on your equipment?

In other words,

Love it or leave it!

If that's such a great principle, then it ought to be applied to taxes. If you don't like paying taxes, then move to somewhere where you will never have to play a penny of tax ever again.

Like a floating city in international waters.

In fact, some people have proposed plans for such cities, and most of them are libertarian ideologues.

I dont think hes a troll and I'm glad some other people out there actually give a shit and can see the difference between this and other government subsidized oligarchies operating in the US. This one is a big step in a nasty direction.

Taxes and a comercial product that you buy are completely different things. With comercial radio you are not even buying a product, the product is the listener and always has been. What the listener gets is completely free. If you don't like the crap that they are offering you then don't listen. They then lose a product to sell and have to change their format. If you continue to listen you are not sending a market signal that you don't like their offerings.

I quit listening to comercial radio ten years ago. Guess what? I still find great music to listen to through other outlets, and I'm an evil libertarian.

Also the days of FCC monopolization of the radio band are soon to end. This is the root of the entire problem. Technology is maturing that will eliminate the need for single channel communications. I don't want to get to technical and I am still looking for an article to put into layman terms, but technology exists where an unlimited number of users can broadcast unlimited data across the entire spectrum and can be read by a single device. This eliminates the need for the FCC and opens the spectrum to everyone.

Found an article in layman terms.
