Interesting question, and a good mental exercise. Some thoughts...

A Philosophy professor and Skeptic who I know describes himself as a "professional critical thinker".

In most professions I think skeptical thought is welcomed (except when you're dealing with the CEO's pet project ) if not overtly recognised as such.

Writing/journalism - good writers with critical thinking and skeptical skills would make good journalists and especially opinion columnists. Come to think of it, some of the most popular "light" columnists such as Dave Barry have a very definite skeptical aspect to their work.

But, sadly, in general media the non-skeptical journalist rules.
