And we thought the milita movement ended with McVeigh.

I want to know what ever happened to the Swiss Guard?

I would like to point out, for the sake of everyone's peace of mind, that this website has a little blurb at the bottom, part of which says:

Quote:
An Archbishop has been notified of our belief in this mission and he has advised that we proceed prayerfully and patiently until we have 12 members.
Key information highlighted by me. The Archbishop's letter to these "troops" is dated January 17, 2001, and apparently not only do they still not have 12 members, they don't even have a "Rule" for their "Order".

I don't think this particular group of idealistic, testosterone-filled, web-savvy RCers is going to be raiding the Temple of the IPU anytime soon...

Every year, worldwide, thousands of bishops, priests, missionaries and seminarians are persecuted and murdered because of their faith by enemies of the Gospel.
Unfortunately, this is a lie. And if it where true, who has asked these zealots to go and spread the gospel anyway. Don't they know people can be happy in an harmonious society without their backward nonsense.
I am all for celibate for these people though. That way the genetic pool of idiots will slowly die out.

Question

Are they serious?

reports of attacks which we believe could have been prevented or effectively intervened in by a small force of Christian Soldiers.
I mean, how do they think they could have prevented these attacks (found on the 'Persecutions' section of the page)? Would they be like the Secret Service for priests, bishops, etc.? Or would they be more proactive? Investigating groups that are actively hostile to them, and then staging their own attacks? Yeah, just what we need, more violence.

I think the easiest way to defend against these people who want to harm xians is to get revelations from God before the attacks occur. For instance, if an old lady looks at one of them cross-eyed, she's probably a witch and God made her look at them like that to warn them that she's a witch and will be casting a curse upon a local bishop during the next full moon. They can then gang up and beat that old woman and then burn her to death, thus saving the bishop from the curse. Confirmation will come after the next full moon, when the bishop does not suffer from a curse, since the witch has now been dealt with.

Solid investigative techniques like that should make their job relatively easy.
