How to make a fortune running a shell-game without a pea, for showmen who need a new gig.

OR

This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places, and incidents are either the product of the author's imagination or are used fictitiously, and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.

I realize I am wasting my time in this response, but I had to simply offer this observation. I've read through every response to the challenge to summarize the content of the Bible. There is not one single thoughtful response. "One drop of reason..."? There are certainly several drops of SOMETHING.

but, hey, i'm just funnin' ya!

In the unlikely event that anyone is actually interested, here's a 'serious attempt' at a summary: God, as the sovereign creator and sustainer of the universe is working through and in history to redeem the human race, restore creation, and establish universal righteousness (i.e. justice and peace) through the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

If you want a "serious" response, might I suggest that you post your question to the <a href="http://iidb.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=51" target="_blank">Biblical Criticism</a> forum? Also, you may wish to spend a little time in the <a href="http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/theism/christianity/index.shtml" target="_blank">LIBRARY.</a>

Correct me if I'm wrong, but after using my "one drop of reason," I think it was pretty obvious that Ax was not looking for a "serious" response--hence the sarcasm.

I thought mine was a thoughtful response. I placed it in the literary category that christians place many other non-christian religious texts. If I wasn't being thoughtful, I would have said "Bound Toiletpaper" instead.
