Bumped for Magus55's consideration.
Who seems to be noticably absent. Perhaps he's busy actually performing my little challenge. Well, one can hope. |

(My Biblical arguments for evolution and natural selection...)
Quote:
Thus, the evolution of horse ancestors since the Eocene could be expressed as Hyracotherium begot Orohippus, which begot Epihippus, which begot Mesohippus, which begot Miohippus, which begot Parahippus, which begot Merychippus, which begot Dinohippus, which begot Equus, the living and recent equines -- horses, donkeys, zebras, and quaggas. This is from the talkorigins horse-evolution page, and it omits the numerous extinct branches of the equine family tree. |

God and his talking lightning bolts
I know a few people have pointed this out, but the twisting of that Job verse is pricless.
Take a verse which says we mere mortals can't do something (control lightning/electricity), which also has an implict implication that it's something we'll never be able to do (we couldn't possibly ever do something god can, right?) and turn it into a 'prediction' of something we invent! See you stupid atheists! The Bible is the 100%, God breathed Truth, with NO errors! Praise be to God, Hail Jesus! [/Fundy Off] I do have to wonder why they settled on the telephone though. If memory serves correct, weren't we communicating by radio long before the phone? What about Morse signalling? Hell, semaphore operators may well have used electric lights before radio was invented! I guess most fundies don't know what semaphore is! |

Magus:
And you still haven't explained how 3000 years ago they knew of Orion and Pleiades since they weren't named or even noticed until thousands of years later. [and other claims] Where does the Bible say anything like that? I have no idea what you mean. Mike Rosoft |

Feeling sympathetic to Magus55 so I'll give him a hint on the challenge by mageth...
Look up the Hebrew words Kimah and Kesil and see what you find. |

That’s a simile.
Umm, a simile is when one makes a comparison using "like" or "as". |
