I have a little experience with this sort of thing.If it's a really fundy church,the wife,or husband,never stops picking away at their mate.They see it as their duty to get them into their religion.Doubly so,if they have kids.

The only defense is a good offense.If the fundy mate doesn't become decidedly less fundy (and in some religions,this means breaking off ties all together,because the members must be sufficiently religious) there will be problems.

There are a huge range of tactics that one mate can use on another to get compliance.

As for your brother,Passingfair,I'd suggest just being there for him,should he want to discuss things.He may not be as into this as he seems.He may just be relieved that she's leaving him alone about the religion.

On a more serious note, I lost a very close personal friend of mine, he was more like a brother as we have been best friends and very close for almost 20 years. He recently converted and was baptised and the whole nine yards. It was a very sad day in the universe the day I found out. Luckily he isn't quite to the fundy stage, as he doesn't feel the need to convert me or anything, but it was still a very sad day when I realized this man just lost all orginal thoughts he had ever had and was now subject to the brainwashing of his church. I certainly feel for you.
