Faux News, ugh.
I watched Fox for a bit last night (they were showing some exclusive scenes of the fighting in and around Baghdad). They were interviewing some Cavalry officers on Saddam's Palace's front porch. The soldiers held up a batallion flag, but commented that they were not raising this or the American flag on the Palace or anywhere else on Iraqi buildings, for obvious reasons. Five minutes later, what banner was the Fox news channel prominently displaying on the screen? "AMERICAN FLAG RAISED OVER PRESIDENTIAL PALACE." ![]() They were still displaying this banner a couple of hours later. Don't know if they ever took it down or recanted it; I doubt it. |
