Man, I am *so* trying to get my wife to go with me to get tandem nipple piercings... I cannot convince her. She cut her nipple once shaving her underarms (hehehe) and has some kind of PTSD or something.
When I was 14 (198(something), the decade of HORRIBLE fashion) I wanted an earring so badly that I would pierce it in the morning before school, put one of my mom's old studs in it, wear it to school, take it out on the bus ride home, and do it all over again the next day until my mom noticed my swollen, festered lobe. My mom was dead set against it (she didn't want people to think her son was gay). But, she realized that I wanted it so badly that she went along with it. I did both my ears with a safety pin and piercing stud. My favorite part was the POP through the back of the earlobe.... ![]() (BTW, my very first ear adornment after the piercing was a dangling cross. Then I got an ahnk. But that ain't nearly as bad as some of the hairstyles I have sported in my youth.) |

Now that I realize you have been misleading us in your true feelings this whole time, I stand humbled. So, when did you start smoking weed, oxicodin-taker? I bet you get high five, maybe six times on a typical school day... Your weekends normally spent in a fog. Soon you will be watching reality TV -All the time; Eating at McDonalds and shopping at Wal-Mart; Spending your days Masturbating Vigorously and going blind; Losing your ability to read or write - a slow, painful and gradual process; Never opening your window shades again, crawling into your shell.. Hell, it has already happened - I can sense it!. Inevitably, the demon-weed will forever have its grips on you - Never letting Go, NEVER, NEVER! Ha-Ha! -Welcome to the 'other-side' of the tracks, you hopeless stoner... |

Also, a few other pointers. During the first 90 days or so, you will want to clean them twice a day at least, this is not an area you want to take a chance on getting infected. Anti-bacterial soap and Hydrogen Peroxide will do just fine for that. You will also want to avoid doing any kind of work that requires alot of movement of the muscles in that area for the first few days, otherwise it can cause bleeding. |

Real Life Example: ***Having had to 'help' my daughter's mommy Numerous Times with her Blocked Ducts, Raw/Bloody Nipples, Bruised Areoles, Metastisized Occlusions, Random Infections and Endless Griping -Considering the majority of this 'help' consisted of ME sucking REALLY HARD, in a profoundly Non-Sexual Way - on my EX-WIFE's TITS, to UNPLUG them!!!!! - Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! Trust me, the idea of adding Complications from 'piercing' (you just know that they are inevitable) on top of ALL THAT... NO FUCKING WAY! Common Medical/Societal Complications from Piercing: Constant , Incurable Infections (flesh eating bacteria, anyone?) Life-Long Nerve Damage ("Gee, I can't taste anything - FOREVER!) Permanent Scarring ("Gosh, that HOLE in your face is really cute!") Excruciating Painful Hindsight (see Johnny Depp) Dealing with Metal Detectors (9-11) Encountering Powerful Magnets in Public (FUCKING EUROPEANS) Coitus Interruptus (I will NOT fuck a pierced ho, period!) and,... YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A TOTAL DWEEB - for the REST OF YOUR LIFE! I would rather take a Cold Bath with John-Boy Asscrfot, while listening to Phil Collins (the musical equivalent of Nancy Reagan, Rush Limbaugh and Hilter having a public threesome...) and cutting off my fingers, one-by-one... |

I've got both nipples pierced. They were originally done at 14ga (the smallest a woman should get, men sometimes have to go smaller just because their nipples are tiny). Over the years, I've sized them up to 10ga. The thicker jewelry is actually more comfortable to me, as it doesn't pull and twist as much as a thinner wire would. And for those that think 20ga is a good idea, I have one thought for you: "Cheese Cutter." Bad, bad idea.
All that said, you need to find a piercer who: 1) autoclaves jewelry and tools 2) understands aseptic technique 3) keeps a clean shop 4) has real experience, not a hack I don't know where you live, so I can't give you any specific recommendations for where to go. Smallish diameter captive bead rings are actually the best during the healing period. Among other things, you can flip them up and they'll fit inside your bra without causing too much pressure. A barbell long enough for you to be able to clean the piercing will twist in a bra. Oh, and expect to wear a rather loose bra (or sports bra) while it's healing. Healing times range from 6-8 weeks, though it often appears to be healed up sooner. The nipples don't have great blood circulation, so it takes a rather long time for them to completely heal. Truly, a clit hood piercing is actually less traumatic (not as much meat for the needle to go through) and it heals much, much faster. Looks bloodier initially, because the area has a better vascular supply. When you clean the piercings, don't use anything harsher than a simple triclosan antibacterial soap. You don't even really need the triclosan. The idea is to keep the area clean, not kill the new cells that are trying to grow. Hydrogen peroxide and iodine are bad, bad for new cells. And alcohol mostly dries out the skin, unless you're using one of the gel hand sanitizers (which is overkill). Be gentle to the new piercings, they'll heal much faster. I've found the nipple rings did indeed increase the sensitivity of my nipples, which had been rather numb before the piercings. It also solved the problem of inverted nipples (where the nipple sort of folds down into itself). My nipples now sit normally thanks to the rings. One word of warning: not all piercing jewelry is equal. You want jewelry that is well-polished and has no nicks or grooves in it. Niobium is very soft and easily marred...sometimes during insertion. All my current jewelry was ordered from Anatometal who are still considered the gold standard for body jewelry. I seem to react to surgical steel, so I now buy titanium jewelry. Titanium is also much lighter, which is a help when you start getting to larger guage jewelry (I have 2ga lobe piercings). |
