Those quizes almost appear to be a joke. I mean who could ask this seriously?
Quote:
2. What is the closest comparison to the Ark's size?
a. large house b. Football field c. 4 football fields stacked d. 4 train cars
4 football fields stacked? How do you stack a football field?

Quote:
7. Molecules are simple cells.
True False
I'd understand asking that of atoms and molecules, but cells?

Quote:
11. Scientists know how old dinosaurs are by the age of the fossilized bones.
True False
That reminds me of a joke. A tour guide at a museum took the group to a dinosaur and then told them that the dinosaur was ten million and five years old. A girl in the group looked puzzled and asked him, how do you know the age that exactly? The tour guide responded that when he first started working there five years ago, they said the dinosaur was ten million years old...

Quote:
3. The half-life of Carbon 14 dating is 28,000 years.
True False
I'm almost positive this is a joke. The question is what is the half-life of Carbon-14, not Carbon-14 dating. Whoever wrote this is very funny or extremely illiterate in science.

Quote:
6. Distant Starlight measurement conclusively proves the age of the universe.
True False
Like anything an ID'er or YEC'er has come up with has been conclusive.

This is absolutely essential for your child to know. Does anyone know WTF they're getting at here?
That's cladistics, Hovind-style. It proves clouds and watermelons are phylogenetically related. Likewise the chimpanzee's closest evolutionary relative is tobacco, since they each have 48 chromosomes.

Sad fact of the matter is that this is the view now being maintained by all mainstream fundamental Protestant religions today, thanks to the efforts of people like Philip Johnson, Chuck Colson, the ICR and all the other "growing" ministries in this country.

Several years ago [before coming to my senses of course] when we were enrolling our daughter in Kindergarten at a Baptist Christian Academy, part of the process was a tour of the library so that nosey parents could make sure there were no "silly" secular books in there. As I was in there, I overheard this snooty christian country-club couple asking the librarian if there were any "evolution" materials in there. The librarian chuckled and answered "No...of course not", to which Biff and Buffy snorted, "Hrrumph...the world is billions of years old and nonsense like that...HAAA!"

Actually...as I think back on it though ....this was one of many little events that began my deconversion process.

Suggested texts included "Are You Being Brainwashed" by our fav Dr. Dino Hovind.

Of course they are....that's why their parents enrolled them in a Christian School....to be brain-washed.

Maybe Christian planes have three dimensions. With God all things are possible.

I imagine the answer is D and according to evil godless lying commie scumg evolutionists this means watermelons and clouds are related.

I know the answer to that one!
I know the right answer and the answer they want are different!

I wish I could say with confidence what they think the answer is.
This would be funny if it weren't meant to be serious.

Isn't 6000 the more common claim of cretinists? why do they use 10000? Where did the extra 4000 come from? Did they get it from the same place as their science, out of their asses?

Look right below the heading, under "Classes". There are six wonderful pages of "Quizes".

This series of questions had me howling like a monkey:

Quote:
5. Fossils of half ape and half man have been found. True False

6. Pictures of ape-men skeletons are scientifically accurate. True False

7. Pictures of ape-men skeletons are drawn by artists using their imagination. True False
WTF do they get the idea that any scientist has ever proposed a half man/half ape? Oh, I know, they've seen Hovind dragging his knuckles and scratching his brow ridge.
