My taxes never went up under Clinton, and they only went down slightly under Bush. I can't believe how many people are still swallowing the Republican tax cut BS. They're not talking about cutting your taxes or my taxes, or even the taxes of my golf-playing Lincoln Navigator-driving country club member accountant uncle. They are reducing the tax burden only for the very, very rich. Not even the very rich, just the multi-millionaires and billionaires. But they know that claiming to support tax cuts for "working families" will get them votes from gullible middle-class people. And it works.

I respect your ideological opposition to welfare and social services. Do you also oppose governemnt subsidies and give-aways to big business? They are just as bad if not worse. And don't give me that line about creating jobs or "a rising tide raises all boats". Big corporations are not going to use their government subsidies or tax cut money to create jobs in the US. They are going to use it to hire cheap labor overseas, to set up overseas headquarters making all their earning exempt from US taxes, and to buy toys for their execs. At least welfare money stays in the US.

The Democratic party certainly has problems, even for people like me who agree in principle with many of their ideals. I understand not wanting to have to be a Democrat just because the Republicans exclude atheists (just as many blacks, latinos, and gays would rather have a choice of parties, but have been excluded from the Repubs). I hope you can find more alternatives to the Democrips and Rebloodlicans. But please, please don't fall for the Republican lies just because you reject the Democratic lies.

Hmmmm....they said the same things about another president a few years back. Called him a 'wimp'.

Seem to remember him sending his country to war...maybe two wars, in a roundabuot way.

To be honest, i have no backing on it. it's just a feeling. He didn't seem to be presidential material to me, even though the majority of the people thought so. or maybe they thought he'd just be better then bush? hehe.
