Uh...It's not exactly a "personality disorder" with me; it's a psychosis: bipolar disorder (genetic, but currently easily controlled with medication). However, if atheists more frequently suffer personality disorders, do we more often than members of other oppressed minorities?

Continuing this thought, I notice it's really hard to access the atheists on ICQ, because so few of them post their philosophical persuasion. I pursue them "religiously," because my efforts usually yield a person who has superior ethics and an above-average IQ. ATHEIST is proudly posted on my ICQ User Details, and has NEVER resulted with my having been pummeled with verbal fecal material. Perhaps we're not as oppressed as we might think. Perhaps people are not so anxious to tangle with someone who bellows it out for all the herd to hear.

Accordingly, I announced my lack of faith every year in my classroom when functioning as a public school teacher, yet I was the most requested teacher (of 10) at that grade level... When I switched to teaching high school I taught Bible, but I was the only teacher in the system to do so. The Christian teachers demurred on the basis of, "It's illegal!" Of course, it WASN'T illegal, but it WAS unpopular, no matter how hard I tried to make it worthwhile. Give 'em a dose of Aristophanes any day; at least he's funny! O...and that's another thing...as a public servant I was further forthright about being nuts, which did nothing to halt the footsteps pounding through my threshold. Maybe we're better off being honest. We might find we're not as oppressed as we anticipated we would be.

Histrionic: High
Narcissistic: Moderate

In other words I like being the centre of attention (histrionic) but would do almost anything to avoid it (Avoidant). The second part is correct, the first is not.

I scored low in everything. I agree with Shake that if the questions had a range, rather than yes/no, the test would be more accurate, but I guess that is just the compulsive, anal-ytical side of me.

(um, am I calling too much attention to myself with that reply? )

I got that too for some reason. I suspect that I got it because I answered 'yes' to "Do you avoid working in teams because you are convinced that others are too careless and will not work to your standards?". That's not narcissism; I have empirical data to back that up. It doesn't mean I'm perfect; it just means a lot of the people I've worked with have been inept.

On the Jungian/Myers-Briggs test, I got an INTP (The percentages were 100/56/89/44 respectively)
