Well, in case nobody guessed, my post was supposed to be more on the tongue-in-cheek side, but thanks for the responses.

As for the father of a friend of mine who has developed the modified engine, he is in business for himself after selling the idea to Caterpillar, who immediately shelved it.

As for "shelving the whole thing," I'm not behind that at all. I want my smart fog, but then I wanted a phaser, too, and those are in the hands of the military .

As for the jetpack, I guess there's a fine line between transport and ordinance!

'If you can survive the impact with minor injuries or less... it's transport.'

lmao, Corwin. Glad you have a sense of humor about it

Oh, Koy... Sorry if I misinterpreted your post. I don't have much time to spend here anymore, so I gotta try to get things quick and dirty.

You're right. We're just as well off with those as we would be without. Let's just chuck the whole lot and live off the bounty mother nature. Red in tooth and claw.</strong>
Don't forget the big one, indoor plumbing.

As far as computers are concerned there are already plans for computers as powerful as mainframes so small that thousands could fit in a mitochondria.

I would have to agree with the earlier assertion IRT open source. Corporations will have a vested interest in short lived nanobots. Of course they will not be able to keep the genie in the bottle and the new scarcity will be intellectual property. But I think eventually most people will simply start using public domain designs for everything from toilets to clothes.

Let's get small.

Cac!
