I was reading a book a about NDEs a few years back, and the book mentioned that a sizable number of children who have NDEs are reunited with deceased pets during their experience.

I know not all Christians take NDEs seriously as a legitimate "peek" into a supernatural afterlife realm; but for those who do, I wonder how they explain these reunions with deceased pets?

This raises a problem, though; what about extremophiles that enjoy really hot weather? How would Hell torture them?

I've read that children too young to fully understand death who have NDEs often meet with family, friends and others they know who are still alive. This kind of supports that it's hallucinations.

I am very sorry to have caused you any offence. I had honestly not meant the term I used to be derrogatory in any way. Looking at m-w.com, I see it is marked down as being "often offensive", but I thought it was still used in the medical sense.
